How ZEVIP works for you

2022.07.27

The Government of Canada’s Zero Emissions Vehicle Incentive Program has launched.

Did you know that cars and light-duty trucks account for almost 12% of Canada’s greenhouse gas emissions (GHG)? Stats like this are driving the Government’s push to electrify Canada’s light-duty vehicles. Building a stronger, cleaner transportation system is an investment that will pay off. Both for the environment and the economy.

The Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP) is an initiative to address Canada’s lack of charging and refueling stations. The ZEVIP will increase the availability of localized charging opportunities where Canadians live, work, and play.

In Ontario, the Government has earmarked $765,000 for EV charger installations. With Peak Power Inc. and SWTCH, Signature Electric will install all 117 new EV chargers in Ontario.

What does this mean for you?

If you are already part of the EV movement, you will have more availability where you charge. You’ll be able to focus on your destination rather than the charging stops along the way.

As a proud partner in this initiative, Signature Electric’s installation of these EV chargers continues the investment in renewable energies for Ontario. Working alongside sustainability-focused companies in Peak Power Inc. and SWTCH is a privilege.

This announcement is a huge win for EV drivers and Ontario’s 2035 Net Zero ambition.
